Clinton Maroons Defeat Sullivan Redskins

In a game heard Friday night on WHOW, the Clinton Maroons defeated the Sullivan Okaw Valley Redskins by a score 51-20. The Maroons were led by Senior Alec Cooley with 18 carries for 266 yards and three touchdowns. Cooley was named the Country Financial representative Stephan York Maroons Player of the Game. Senior Quarterback Noah Griffin was three of five passing for 106 yards and two touchdowns, he also had 18 carries for 65 yards and a touchdown. Senior Dalton Whitted had 11 carries for 64 yards and a touchdown. Junior Jacob Hospelhorn had a touchdown pass for the second game in a row of 54 yards.

 

The Redskins were led by Freshman Quarterback Luke Herlin who was 11 of 13 passing for 209 yds, two touchdowns, and one interception. Bryce Farris had three catches for 81 yards and a touchdown. 

 

Both teams are 3-3 overall and 2-2 in the Central Illinois Conference.
