Snyder, Lieb Lead Sages Past Casey-Westfield

Caleb Hanson played enough to give Monticello an early lead against Casey-Westfield and backup quarterback Braden Snyder and junior runningback Lucas Lieb took it from there as the Sages routed the Warriors 36-0 Friday night from Monticello High School.

Battling a sore shoulder from last week’s win at St. Jospeh-Ogden, Hanson’s 15 yard touchdown pass to Nathan Graham capped a seven play, 47 yard opening drive and Hanson’s night was done.

Snyder relieved Hanson and accounted for three touchdowns, two through the air and one on the ground and Lucas Lieb rumbled for a season high 131 yards on the ground with a touchdown on a wet Friday night.

Nathan Harman scored a touchdown and finished with 31 yards on five carries.

Graham hauled in two touchdowns and Isiah Florey had another touchdown.

Casey-Westfield drops to 1-6 on the season.

The Sages improve to 6-0 on the season and face 5-1 Champaign St. Thomas More next Friday night for Homecoming.
