HS BBALL: Stokowski, Fisher Lead Monticello Past Riverton

Luke Stokowski and Calvin Fisher recorded double-doubles and Monticello used a strong defensive effort to get by Riverton 36-25 in a season opening win Tuesday night in Riverton. Stokowski had 15 points and 16 rebounds and Fisher added 13 points and 10 boards and dished out five assists. It wasn't pretty as Monticello shot just 33-percent from the floor and 12-for-21 from the free throw line. Riverton’s Keegan Ramsey led the way with 12 points. The Sages take next ten days off before returning to action Friday, December 2 when they host Bismarck-Henning at Monticello High School.
