The Monticello Sages could not keep up with the St. Joseph-Ogden Spartans Tuesday night in Okaw Valley play, dropping a 63-51 decision on the road in league play.
Both teams shot over 50-percent for the game, however, the 16-8 turnover differential was ultimately the demise of the Sages, especially in the second half.
Brandon Tremble scored 30 points to lead the Spartans. Tremble was 11-for-11 at the free throw line and 3-for-4 from beyond the arc.
Jordan Brooks scored 15 points for St. Joseph-Ogden, who improves to 2-2 in Okaw Valley action.
Calvin Fisher led the Sages with 24 points while Johnny Dawson scored 11 points.
The Sages drop to 2-2 in Okaw Valley play and fall to 14-4 overall.
They welcome league leading Rantoul to Monticello High School Friday night at 7:30 pm.
