COLLEGE BASEBALL: Redbirds in Ohio for Weekend Set

The Illinois State baseball team will return to action this weekend with a three-game series versus the Miami (Ohio) RedHawks in Oxford, Ohio.
 
With expected cold temperatures Friday, the teams will play a doubleheader on Saturday beginning at noon CT, before a series finale Sunday, which will also begin with a noon CT first pitch.  
 
Illinois State (2-4) will try to bounce back from a tough trip to Memphis, Tennessee, last weekend, Feb. 24-26, as the Redbirds were swept by the Tigers in a three-game series at FedEx Park by a combined four runs.
 
Miami (0-7) will also be seeking to get on track this weekend after being swept in series at Arkansas (Feb. 17-19) and South Florida (Feb. 24-26) to begin the season. This weekend's games will the RedHawks' first at McKie Field this year.
 
The Redbirds will utilize the starting pitching rotation of Jack Landwehr, Brent Headrick and Mitch Weis in Oxford, Ohio. Miami will counter with right-hander Cole Gnetz, left-hander Zach Spears and right-hander Brad Schwartz.
