Clinton Outlasts Shelbyville in 12 Inning Marathon

The Clinton Maroons scored in the bottom of the 12th inning to win 1-0 in a 12 inning Central Illinois Conference marathon Wednesday afternoon at Clinton High School.
Parker West drove in the game winning RBI to break the scoreless tie and send Clinton to their sixth win of the season.
 
Travis Osgood pitched eight innings of three-hit ball, allowing four walks and striking out 11.
 
Keaton Thayer pitched the final four innings, allowing three hits, a walk and struck out four en rout to his second victory of the season.
 
Levi Nettles paced the Maroons offense, going 2-for-3 with a double. 
 
Peyton Howell went 3-for-5 for Shelbyville. 
 
Clinton is now 6-8 on the season and 3-4 in the CIC.
