Late Rally Lifts Jacksonville Past Clinton

After Clinton opened the game with a 4-1 lead, Jacksonville chipped away at the lead and ultimately pulled away, scoring in every inning except the sixth, for a 10-4 non-conference win in boys baseball action from Clinton High School Monday afternoon.
Avery Dugan hit a 2-run home run in a three-run fourth inning, Levi Parkevich had a double and Jacob James finished 2-for-4.
 
The Maroons used five pitchers in their season finale, only Travis Osgood and Levi Nettles threw two innings or more. Logan Peterson took the loss. 
 
Mac Hickman finished 2-for-3 with an RBI and Osgood was 2-for-4. 
 
The Maroons finish the regular season 11-14 overall, while Jacksonville is now 15-15.
 
It's off to Regional play for the Maroons. Wednesday, Clinton will be at the Lincoln Regional taking on the Railsplitters.
