MLB: Cards Lose, Cubs Win, Scoreboard

LOS ANGELES (AP) - Kenta Maeda fell into a 3-0 hole in the first inning of his first start for the Dodgers in two weeks coming off the disabled list. Then, the Japanese right-hander rallied Los Angeles to a 7-3 victory over the St. Louis Cardinals Thursday night in the series finale. The Dodgers took two of three from the Cardinals.
 
CHICAGO (AP) - Kris Bryant, Jason Heyward and Ben Zobrist hit solo homers, spot starter Eddie Butler pitched five effective innings and the Chicago Cubs beat the San Francisco Giants 5-1 Thursday for their third straight win. Mike Montgomery followed with four scoreless innings and allowed one hit in his first save.
