Clinton Maroons Defeat Reed Custer Comets

As heard on WHOW, the Clinton Maroons defeated the Braidwood Reed Custer Comets by a score of 19-7 on Friday night. The Maroons were led by senior Bryson Carson who had 21 carries for 111 yards and two touchdowns. Carson was named the Country Financial representative Brad James Maroons Player of the Game. Sophomore Ty Berter was five of six passing for 61 yards and a touchdown. Sophomore Clayton Welch had a 40 yard touchdown catch. The Maroons' defense held Reed Custer to negative four total rushing yards.

 

The Comets were led by junior quarterback Josh Loomis was 11 of 18 for 147 yards with a touchdown and an interception by the Maroons' Jacob Hospelhorn.

 

Clinton improves to 1-1 overall and Reed Custer falls to 0-2 on the season.
