Crucial Week 9 in HS Football

It's win or go home for a number of high school football programs this week.
 
The playoff pairings for the IHSA football postseason comes out Friday and if you go into Saturday without five wins, you'll be on the outside looking in.
 
A number of area squads are seeking that elusive fifth win this week. 
 
In the Central Illinois Conference, both Warrensburg-Latham and Central A&M have five wins, but the two matchup this Friday night in Moweaqua. The winner gets the asterisk that signifies their spot in the postseason. 
In the Illini Prairie Conference, St. Joseph-Ogden and Prairie Central enter action Friday at 4-4 overall. The Spartans are at Monticello Friday while the Hawks are at 1-7 Champaign St. Thomas More. 
 
In the Apollo Conference, Mt. Zion and Mahomet-Seymout each have five wins. The Bulldogs hit the road for a matchup with 1-7 Macomb while the Braves have a tough home game with Troy. 
 
In the Big 12, Peoria Richwoods and Bloomington High School each need wins this week to be eligible, as they enter action at 4-4. Richwoods matches up with 2-6 Champaign Centennial while Bloomington takes on 6-2 Danville. 
 
In the Heart of Illinois, El-Paso Gridley needs a Friday when win when they face 6-2 Eureka. Defending 2A State Champs Dee-Mack needs a win to solidify their postseason status. The The 5-3 Chiefs face rival Tri-Valley in Downs. 
 
In the Little Okaw Valley, Oakland Tri-County enters play 4-4. They host Sangamon Valley who is 1-7 overall.
