Following their trip to the Sweet 16 last season, the Monticello Lady Sages open up a new year tonight when they hit the road for a non-conference matchup with LeRoy.
The Lady Sages fell to now conference rival Bloomington Central Catholic in the sectional title last year, the Lady Saints would eventually play in the state title game at Redbird Arena.
The Lady Sages look to fill the void left by senior Rachel Lockmiller, who was their leading scorer last year.
Senior Zanna Myers will be relied on to step up this year. She was the team's second leading scorer and sophomore Emily Edmundson could play a key role for the Lady Sages this year.
