Monticello Holds Off Central A&M

Zanna Myers scored 29 points and Tatum McCall added 20 points as Monticello held off Central A&M 75-58 in non-conference girls basketball action Monday night at Monticello High School.

 

McCall scored 14 of her 20 points in the third quarter while Myers scored 20 first half points to pace all scorers.

Myers also drained 13-of-16 free throws and McCall finished 5-for-6 from the stripe and the Lady Sages made 26-for-34 free throws as a team.

 

Jayna Burger added eight points off the bench and Emily Wilson chipped in with seven.

 

Taryn Sams led the Lady Raiders with 22 points, McKenna Denton added 15 points off the bench and Channing Collins finished with 13 points.

 

Central A&M drops to 5-5 overall while the Lady Sages are 5-0.

 

The Lady Sages are at Decatur St. Teresa High School Saturday afternoon and return home for a game with Warrensburg-Latham before the Holiday Hoopla Tournament after Christmas.
