The NL champion Dodgers will send $3 million to the Chicago White Sox and receive $1 million from Kansas City as part of last week's three-team trade that sent left-handed reliever Scott Alexander from the Royals to Los Angeles.

Los Angeles agreed to give the White Sox equal installments of $1.5 million on June 1 and Sept. 1. Kansas City will pay the Dodgers $500,000 on each of those two dates.

Chicago got relievers Luis Avilan and Joakim Soria iin Thursday's trade, and the Dodgers obtained minor league infielder Jake Peter. The Royals added two minor leaguers, 24-year-old right-hander Trevor Oaks and 23-year-old infielder Erick Mejia.

Soria has a $9 million salary this year, and his contract includes a $10 million mutual option with a $1 million buyout. Avilan is eligible for arbitration and is expected to have a salary of about $2.5 million.
