Maroa-Forsyth Blows By Sangamon Valley

The Maroa-Forsyth Trojans used a balanced attack to blow by the Sangamon Valley Storm 80-33 in non-conference boys basketball action Tuesday night in Niantic.
 
Daanish Mahmood and Hayden Mitchell paced the attack with 16 points. Justin Livingood chipped in with 13 points. Aaron Agee had nine points as 12 players scored for the Trojans.
 
The Storm was led by Kale Pollard with 11 points and Jachin Wiese added nine points.
 
The Trojans led 15-6 after the first quarter, as Mahmood scored nine of 16 points in the first. They led 37-16 at the break, as Mitchell scored ten of his 16 points in the second quarter.
 
The Trojans outscored Sangamon Valley 43-17 in the second half. Livingood scored nine of this 13 points in the third quarter. 
 
The Trojans are 5-8 overall and are at Illini Central Friday night.
