Maroa-Forsyth Falls Short Against Athens

The Maroa-Forsyth Trojans Tuesday night fell just short in Sangamo Conference boys basketball action, as they lost 54-52 at Maroa-Forsyth High School.
 
Trailing 37-30 at the break, the Trojans crept back into the game with, outscoring the Warriors 10-5 in the third quarter, and trailed 42-40 after three quarters. With opportunities at the foul line, the Trojans converted just two-of-six fourth quarter free throws, while Athens made three of their five.
 
The Trojans were led by junior Aaron Agee's 14 points. Freshman Anthony Campbell added 13 points. 
 
The Warriors were led by Garrett Reichert, who scored 15 of his game high 18 points in the first half. Nic Laird added 13 points, scoring ten in the first half. Jack Richards also scored 10 of his 13 points in the first half. 
 
The Trojans drop to 5-16 overall and are at North Mac on Friday.
