Big Third Quarter Sends St. Joe-Ogden Past Maroa-Forsyth

Jordan Brooks scored 13 of his game high 18 points in the second half and the St. Joseph-Ogden Spartans used a big third quarter to get by Maroa-Forsyth 67-50 Tuesday night in non-conference boys basketball action from Maroa-Forsyth High School.
 
The Spartans led 37-23 at the break and opened up a 60-28 advantage after the third quarter. Brooks scored seven in the third quarter. Joel Orcutt added six of his eight in the big third quarter.
 
Riley Baker finished with 14 points for St. Joe.
 
Hayden Mitchell scored 11 of his team high 17 points in the second half for the Trojans. Danish Mahmood contributed 12 points and Aaron Agee added ten points. 
 
The Trojans drop to 6-17 overall and will host Petersburg PORTA Friday. They'll finish out their regular season Saturday afternoon hosting Tolono Unity.
 
The Spartans close out their regular season at Bloomington Central Catholic Friday night.
