Maroons Topple Mt. Zion

The Clinton Maroons had four players score in double-figures and topped Mt. Zion 73-57 in non-conference boys basketball action Tuesday night from Mt. Zion High School.
 
Chase Reynolds had 18 points, Austin Rauch and Austin Baker each scored 16 points and Ben Nelson added 13 points to lead the Maroons.
 
Clinton gradually pulled away each quarter and used a 27-19 final quarter margin to get to the final score.
 
Trevor Durand led all scorers with 22 points for Mt. Zion. Jonah Smith chipped in with 12 points and Clayton Marquardt added 11 points.
 
The Maroons improve to 13-11 overall while Mt. Zion drops to 10-17.
 
The Maroons will conclude their regular season Friday night when they host Prairie Central at Clinton High School.
