Clinton Maroons Defeat Warrensburg-Latham

As heard on WHOW, the Clinton Maroons defeated the Warrensburg-Latham Cardinals by a score of 6-2 on Tuesday afternoon. Senior Mac HIckman was named the Country Financial representative Brad James Maroons Player of the Game. Hickman got the win pitching 6 innings, allowing 1 run on 4 hits, walking 2, and striking out 9. Hickman led the Maroons at the plate going 3 for 4 with an RBI. Braden Cross was 2 for 3 with and RBI and Matthew Overton was 1 for 3 with a double.

 

Garrett Allen took the loss for Warrensburg, pitching 4 and 1/3 innings, giving up 6 runs on 8 hits, walking 3, and striking out 2. Logan Bledsaw was 1 for 2 with and RBI double. Kyle Goechner went 2 for 3 with a run scored and two stolen bases.

 

With the win, the Maroons improve to 1-3 on the season and 1-1 in CIC play. Warrensburg-Latham falls to 5-2 overall and 1-1 in conference action.
