Carr Propels Monticello Past Champaign St. Thomas More

Mitch Carr drove in three runs and pitched six solid innings as Monticello topped Champaign St. Thomas More 10-3 in Illini Prairie Conference boys baseball action Thursday afternoon from Monticello High School.
 
Carr went 2-for-3 with a double and three RBIs. Jeff Wileaver went 3-for-4 with an RBI. Luke Stokowski walked three times, scored three times and drove in a run. Asher Bradd went 3-for-5 with a pair of doubles and a pair of runs. Alek Bundy doubled as part of a 2-for-5 afternoon with an RBI and a pair of runs.
 
Every Sages hitter reached base Thursday. 
 
Across six innings, Carr allowed three runs, two earned, on six hits, issued two walks and struck out five.
 
Brock Wade closed the door in the seventh with a strike out.
 
Monticello improves to 15-1 overall.
