Clinton Track Hosting Invitational Thursday

It has been another successful campaign for the Clinton Lady Maroons track squad as they get set to host their annual Invitational Thursday.
 
The Lady Maroons recently placed sixth at the 22-team invitational at Tolono Unity High School. 
 
Top six finishers at the meet included:
 
3rd place High Jump: Riley Pruser
2nd place 1600m run: Payne Turney
5th place 4x100m relay: Maggie Werts, Madi Filkin, Riley Pruser, Tori Burke
3rd place (narrowly missing second) 4x200m relay: Madi Filkin, Riley Pruser, Maggie Werts, Tori Burke - running a season best 1:52.49
6th place Long Jump: Riley Pruser
5th place Shot Put: Claudia Workman
 
Sophomore Payne Turney raced 11:50.55 in the 3200 meter run, taking home second place and shattering the freshman/sophomore record by 22 seconds (previously held by Julia Sterr, 2:12.58) and eclipsing the varsity record by 13.5 seconds (set in 2002 by Chris Holl - 12:04.04). 
 
Payne now holds every freshman/sophomore and varsity individual distance event, whether indoors or outdoors at Clinton High School. 
 
 
Other personal records set so far this season include:
 
RyTy DuPont-Barlow:  100m dash and a foot PR in the Triple Jump
 
Madi Filkin:  200m dash (previous was 27.50 -- 4/12 27.37 - still #10 all time)
 
Olivia Petersen: 800m run (2:46.39)
 
Emma Wertz: 1600m run (6:18.55)
 
Lyric Griffith:  100m HH (18.38) - moving up to #10 on the all time list and lifetime PR 300m H
 
Natalie Rhodes: Triple Jump
 
Kady Patelski: discus throw
 
Maggie Werts: 4x400m relay split
 
Aryn Scott: 4x800m relay split
 
Jackie Green: 4x400m relay split
 
Natalie Rhodes: 300m hurdles
 
Riley Pruser: 4x200m relay split
 
Madi Filkin: 4x200m relay split
