Clinton High School Football Star Signs National Letter of Intent

Clinton High School senior Garrett Hayden signed his national letter of intent to play college football at Monmouth College.

Hayden, a 6-foot senior, will play offensive line and says he is excited to have the commitment made and looks forward to the next step in his career.

Hayden has friends at Monmouth already and says he enjoyed the atmosphere and coaches of the school.

Hayden says one of the most memorable games he was a part of was his sophomore year, the Sullivan game when the Maroons punched their ticket to the playoffs as one of the most memorable games in his Clinton High School career.

Hayden likes to read in his spare time and enjoys sci-fi and fantasy. He'll be playing guard or center with the Scots.

Monmouth is a DIII school part of the Midwest Conference.

Former Maroon Alec Cooley will be a sophomore at Monmouth next year.
