Clinton Lady Maroons Fall to Lady Hawks

In a game heard on WHOW, the Clinton Lady Maroons fell to the Meridian Lady Hawks by a score of 1-0 on Tuesday evening. The Country Financial representative Brad James Maroons Player of the Game Olivia Sanders takes the loss, allowing 1 run on 5 hits, and striking out 6 while walking 2. At the plate, Mackenzie Armstrong was 1 for 3 and Destiny Schlesinger was 1 for 3.

 

For Meridian, Peyton Latham takes the win, pitching for 7 innings, allowing 0 runs on 2 hits, striking out 2, walking 0. Latham lead the Lady Hawks at the plate 1 for 2 with an RBI.

 

With the loss, the Maroons fall to 5-15 overall and 3-6 in CIC play. Meridian with the win improve to 18-4 on the season and 10-2 in conference action.
