The Clinton Lady Maroons defeated Springfield Southeast (SSE) by a score of 4-0 Monday afternoon in the first round of IHSA Regionals.
The Maroons were led by pitcher Olivia Sanders who went for seven innings, gave up no runs and had two hits, two walks, and nine strike-outs. Mac Armstrong went 2 for 3 with a run scored.
SSE was led by pitcher Gianna Flammini who went six innings, gave up four runs and seven hits. Brooklyn Hutchins went 1 for 3 with a double.
