Maroons Blank Hawks 35-0

As heard on WHOW, the Clinton Maroons shut-out the Meridian Hawks 35-0 on Friday night in Macon. Clinton junior Tyrese Petty had a big night, rushing for four touchdowns on 22 carries, totaling 111 yards on the ground. Junior Ty Berter completed 13 of 24 passes for 167 yards and three interceptions. Senior Kolby Winter ran 12 times for 76 yards and a touchdown, also bringing in four catches for 47 yards. Senior Christian Reynolds finished with five catches for 60 yards. The Maroons defense was stingy all night, leaving the Hawks with negative yardage to end the game.
 
For the Hawks, Jacob Jones completed eight of 22 passes for 49 yards and a pick.
 
With the win, the Maroons improve to 4-0 (2-0 in Central Illinois Conference play). The Hawks fall to 0-4.
