Clinton Maroons Fall to Tuscola

In a game heard on WHOW, the Clinton Maroons fell to the Tuscola Warriors by a score of 20-11 on Friday night. The Maroons were led by quarterback Ty Berter who was 6 of 19 passing for 31 yards. Tyrese Petty had 15 carries for 85 yards. Kolby Winter had 7 carries for 79 yards and a 98 yard kickoff return for a touchdown. The Maroons scored one field goal and the Maroons defense had one safety, two sacks, two fumble recovers, and an interception.

 

The Warriors were led by quarterback Luke Sluder who was 7 of 19 passing for 75 yards and an interception. Sluder ran the ball 13 times for 38 yards. Matt Cantu had 16 carries for 74 yards. Brandon Douglas had 7 carries for 50 yards and a touchdown. Tuscola scored two field goals.

 

Clinton falls to 4-1 overall and 2-1 in the Central Illinois Conference. Tuscola improves to 4-1 on the season and 2-1 in the conference.
