Former Clinton High School athletic standout, Aaron Ennis was named the head basketball coach at Maroa-Forsyth last night and he says this is an opportunity he dreamt of for some time.
Ennis says the opportunity at Maroa-Forsyth is not something he takes lightly and was excited to learn Monday he would be their coach.
In his journey to Maroa-Forsyth, Ennis has had stops in Argenta-Oreana where he was a student-teacher, then in Maroa-Forsyth and most recently at Tolono Unity. Central Illinois sports fans will be familiar with some of the power-house names he's been able to learn under along the way.
Ennis indicates he wants to have an up-tempo style offense that runs a half-court offense that allows their athletes to make plays. Defensively his teams will run a pressure style man-to-man offense and hopes to bring an exciting brand of basketball to Maroa-Forsyth.
