Tuscola Ten Runs Clinton

The Clinton Maroons took a 1-0 lead in the top of the first inning but that was all they could muster as Tuscola scored 11 straight runs over the next six innings to walk-off with an 11-1 win in six innings Wednesday afternoon at  Tuscola High School in Central Illinois Conference boys baseball action.

 

Braden Cross homered for the Maroons in the top of the first inning but Logan Tabeling allowed just three base runners, two walks and a hit batsman, the rest of the way. He struck out 15 over his six innings.

 

Michael Oswald went four innings for the Maroons. He allowed seven runs on eight hits, issued three walks and struck out five. 

 

Jalen Quinn, Brayden VonLanken and Max Wyninger each homered for Tuscola in a five run fourth inning. 

 

The Maroons drop to 5-5 overall and are 3-3 in the CIC. Tuscola, the CIC's top team, remained undefeated in conference play at 7-0 and went to 17-2 overall.
