Monticello Routes Warrensburg-Latham

Brett Macak blasted a two-run home run in the first inning propelling Monticello to a 14-0 ten-run rule, five-inning win over Warrensburg-Latham in non-conference boys baseball action Friday afternoon in Monticello.

 

Asher Bradd was 3-for-3 with three runs scored, two runs driven in and a stolen base. Alek Bundy was 1-for-3 with three runs scored, two stolen bases, two walks, and an RBI. Andrew Ellison was 2-for-4 with two RBIs and two runs scored. Hunter Williams was 2-for-3 with two doubles and two runs scored. Hunter Williams also made two spectacular defensive diving catches, one to end the game, in left field. 

 

Ellison fired four shutout innings and struck out three. 

 

The Sages scored three runs in the first, six runs in the second and five runs in the fourth. 

 

Garrett Allen finished 2-for-3 with a stolen base. Jackson Cook walked twice. 

 

They improve to 13-6 overall while Warrensburg-Latham drops to 9-12.
