One of the most anticipated foods at the Apple and Pork festival each year are the porkchops and sandwiches that are provided by the FFA.
Colleen Paulin, who is the FFA instructor, explains that their porkchops are the biggest that you will find at the entire festival. She says the porkshops usually fall right off the bone because they are incredibly tender. Paulin adds they sell out quickly once the festival begins.
Paulin explains the proceeds will go into benefiting FFA alumni as well as scholarships for current members. She says without the yearly festival, the FFA would be forced to participate in time-wasting, unwanted fundraisers.
Paulin says the Apple and Pork is always one of the favorite events of the year for the FFA.
