Phyllis M. Richey, 81, of Farmer City, passed away at 8:15 p.m. Tuesday (March 6, 2018) at her home.
Visitation will be 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at Calvert-Belangee-Bruce Funeral Home, Farmer City. A graveside service will be 1 p.m. Monday at Hopewell Cemetery, Downs. Pastor Dave Ashby will officiate.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
She was born Nov. 22, 1936, in Moline, to Philip G. and Marguerite I. Luth Graen. She married Russel Steven Richey on Jan. 31, 1968, in Charleston, S.C.
Survivors include her sister, Donna Graen Larkin, Westlake Village, Calif.; son, Steven Philip Richey, Farmer City; daughter, Debra (Edward) Niedermeyer, West Palm Beach, Fla.; five grandchildren, Steven and Sean Niedermeyer, Destiny Richey, Lance Clark and Danica (David) Nichols; two great-grandchildren, Rowan and Gracie Nichols; nieces and nephews; and her dear friend, Nancy Jo Miller.
She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; and one sister, Norma Jean Graen Wallace.
