Charles J. "Bud" Sullivan, 95, of LeRoy, passed away at 11:45 p.m. Monday (Feb. 25, 2019) at the Knox County Nursing Home, Knoxville.
Bud was born Feb. 8, 1923, in Burlington, Iowa, the son of Charles R. and Fern Fordyce Sullivan. Bud married Lore M. Sullivan on Oct. 14, 1958, in Decatur. She preceded him in death on May 31, 2012.
Bud was an over-the-road truck driver all his life and enjoyed driving for various companies. He also very much enjoyed fishing wherever he was.
Bud is survived by his daughter, Birgit Voeghtly, Federal Way, Wash.; his sister, Helen Branham, Grants Pass, Ore.; and a number of nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in his death by his parents; wife; two sisters, Marian and Betty; and one brother, Bob.
According to his wishes, Charles was cremated and his ashes are to be interred in Oquawka Cemetery at a later date. No service or visitation is currently planned. Turnbull Funeral Home, Monmouth, is in charge of the local arrangements.
