Andrew Yborra, 22, Decatur, was issued a Citation for Speeding (26-34 MPH over the limit).  Yborra was issued a Notice to Appear and released.

Shawnita McClure, 31, Aurora, was issued a Citation for Speeding (26-34 MPH over the limit).  McClure was issued a Notice to Appear and released.

On 01/04 at 0614, Travis Hurns was traveling South on IL RTE 48 just South of Rainbow Road.  Hurns hit a patch of ice and slid into the ditch.  Hurns’ vehicle sustained minor damage to the driver side bumper and the windshield cracked.  Hurns was wearing his seatbelt and airbags did not deploy.  Kathy’s Tow was summoned to the scene to pull Hurns’ vehicle from the ditch.  Hurns left the scene without incident.  There were no injuries and no citations issued.

Terry McCoy, 25, Decatur, was arrested and charged with Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol.  McCoy posted the necessary bond and was released.

Justin Fretto, 22, Clinton, was arrested on an In-State Warrant and charged with Driving on Suspended License/FTA.  Fretto posted the necessary bond and was released.

Gabriel Montes, 53, Hudson, was arrested on an In-State Warrant and charged with Contempt of Court.  Montes posted the necessary bond and was released.

Dami Allen, 30, Douglasville, was arrested and charged with Domestic Battery/Physical Contact.  Allen was released after booking.

On 01/04 at 1600, the Chief Deputy responded to a report of a reckless driver northbound on US Route 51 around Heritage Road.  The reckless driver was located and stopped on U.S. 51 just north of the north Business Bypass.  The driver identified herself as Sharron Wong.  Sharon had driven in and out of a ditch and ran a red light.  Sharon did not remember running the red light.  Later, a second vehicle pulled up driven by Paul Wieting as a witness.  Later, another vehicle driven by Charles Atten pulled up to the scene.  He revealed that Wong had struck his driver’s side mirror and broke it.  The Chief Deputy examined Wong’s vehicle and noticed a black mark dent on the passenger side door and window.  Wong did not remember hitting him.  Wong submitted to a PBT and passed. Wong was extremely sleep deprived and that was revealed to be the cause of the reckless driving.  Due to Wong’s inability to drive, arrangements were made to drive her and her vehicle home. Wong was issued Citations for Disobeying Traffic Control Device, Improper Lane Usage, and Leaving the Scene of an Accident/Vehicle Damage.  Wong was given a Notice to Appear and released.

Joseph Merriman, 27, Peoria Heights, was issued a Citation for Speeding (70mph in a 45mph Zone).  Merriman was given a Notice to Appear and released.

Kendra Hudson, 23, Dolton, was issued a Citation for Speeding (76mph in a 55mph Zone).  Hudson was given a Notice to Appear and released.

Amy Upton, 39, Clinton, was issued a Citation for Speeding (77mph in a 55mph Zone).  Upton was given a Notice to Appear and released.

John Michael, 29, Clinton, was issued a Citation for Speeding (70mph in a 55mph Zone).  Michael was given a Notice to Appear and released.

Riley Schmid, 23, Clinton, was issued a Citation for Speeding (73mph in a 55mph Zone).  Schmid was given a Notice to Appear and released.

Anthony Orr, 38,  Bloomington, was issued a Citation for Speeding (70mph in a 55mph Zone).  Orr was given a Notice to Appear and released.

Candy Williams, 32, Kenney, was issued a Citation for Operating an Uninsured Vehicle.  Williams was given a Notice to Appear and released.

Leslie Pickering, 47, Lowell, was issued a Citation for Speeding (79mph in a 55mph Zone).  Pickering was given a Notice to Appear and released.

Kathryn Wilson, 19, Clinton, was issued a Citation for Speeding (73mph in a 55mph Zone).  Wilson was given a Notice to Appear and released.

Angeleana Williams, 33, Ronkonkoma, was issued a Citation for Speeding (87mph in a 65mph Zone).  Williams was given a Notice to Appear and released.

Faith Wilson, 44, Oshkish, was issued a Citation for Speeding (77mph in a 55mph Zone).  Wilson was given  a Notice to Appear and released.

Scott Strompolis, 29, was issued a Citation for Speeding (73mph in a 55mph Zone).  Strompolis was given a Notice to Appear and released.

Daniela Pino, 23, was issued a Citation for Speeding (71mph in a 45mph Zone).  Pino was given a Notice to Appear and released.

Timothy Schultz, 30, Clinton, was arrested and charged with Driving on a Revoked License.  Schultz posted the necessary bond and was released.

Blake Hendriex, 18, Clinton, was arrested on a Dewitt County Warrant and charged with Contempt of Court.  Hendriex was unable to post the necessary bond and remains incarcerated.

On 01/09 at 1722, Barbara Brown and Samantha Knackmuhs were traveling southbound on US 51 approaching Burns Hills.  Brown was attempting to change lanes from the driving lane to the passing lane when she struck Knackmuhs.  Brown’s vehicle sustained damage to the front driver’s side front end and was towed from the scene by Baum’s towing.  Knackmuhs’s vehicle sustained damage to the front bumper and front driver’s side panel.  Knackmuh’s vehicle was towed from the scene by Gary’s towing.  The drivers of both vehicles were wearing their seat belts and signed refusals for medical treatment.  Brown was issued a Citation for Improper Lane Usage.

Michael Landsmann, 21, Clinton, was arrested on a Dewitt County Warrant and charged with Contempt of Court.  Landsmann posted the necessary bond and was released.

 

SUSPECTS ARE PRESUMED INNOCENT UNTIL FOUND GUILTY IN A COURT OF LAW.
