I was out messing around in some water I haven't fished in a while when my bobber went down so fast I could hear it.

I set the hook and for a second I thought a big crappie had hung me in the brush pile. Then the drag started screaming as the fish finally figured out it was hooked. An hour later and an assist from another boat I finally landed this brute!  Definitely a new PB for catfish and a catch I won't forget anytime soon!"

From Adam:  "I was fishing Sangchris Lake, my home lake, for about the 50th time, still trying to find a monster flathead.  Before this night, I had only caught one out of that lake at 3 pounds.  I went to a spot that I love to fish in the winter where there are a few deep holes among some flats, and casted a 6-inch live bluegill on the flats around the first hole.  Very shortly after I saw the tip of my rod jump, so I grabbed it, and felt him take it.  I set the hook, and he immediately pulled off about 30 feet of line before turning and running right at me!  I saw my line was snagged on some brush on the bank, so I went in after him!  Standing in about 2 foot of water with massive flathead thrashing around, I managed to grab his mouth and get him in!  It measured 43 inches long, 30 inches around, and his head was a foot across exactly!  It was pretty intense, and I caught it all on my gopro camera!"

Adam will join us this weekend to tell us about all about his new P-B flathead!

From Bob: "My wife and I were fishing Sangchris Lake, I had been bass fishing and we started fishing for catfish in the deep part. I had put a shad on my line and was bumping it across the bottom and pulled it up and she hit my line. And it was like pulling in a rock. I have never seen a 35" bass walk across the top of the water until that day. And it was amazing . It took a good little bit to get the fish, and then she would not fit in the net.. So my wife just put the head of the fish in the net and got her in the boat. The fish measured 35" in length. And all I had was an old scales in my tackle box, and it weighed it at 23 pounds. But I honestly think the fish weighed more. Fish of a lifetime!"
