This week's Archers Alley "Catch of the Week" comes to us from Adam Vogt, of Kincaid!!
From Adam: "I was fishing Sangchris Lake, my home lake, for about the 50th time, still trying to find a monster flathead. Before this night, I had only caught one out of that lake at 3 pounds. I went to a spot that I love to fish in the winter where there are a few deep holes among some flats, and casted a 6-inch live bluegill on the flats around the first hole. Very shortly after I saw the tip of my rod jump, so I grabbed it, and felt him take it. I set the hook, and he immediately pulled off about 30 feet of line before turning and running right at me! I saw my line was snagged on some brush on the bank, so I went in after him! Standing in about 2 foot of water with massive flathead thrashing around, I managed to grab his mouth and get him in! It measured 43 inches long, 30 inches around, and his head was a foot across exactly! It was pretty intense, and I caught it all on my gopro camera!"
Adam will join us this weekend to tell us about all about his new P-B flathead!
