This week's Archers Alley "Catch of the Week" comes to us from 10-year old Gunner Vandermeer, of Knox County!

Gunner set out recently to get his first Spring turkey.....Mission accomplished, and he had a hunt of a lifetime in the process!

From Dave (Gunner's Dad): Here Is Gunner's (10 yrs old) first Turkey. What an amazing morning in the turkey blind. He was able to keep it together while 4 Toms ran around fighting and beating up the decoy. It took almost 5 min for one bird to separate away from the others far enough that he could safely shoot just one bird. Once one gave him a clean shot he dropped the hammer! Gunner is already planning out his first deer hunt next fall.

In addition, Dave also captured the hunt on an amazing video....click HERE to see it!

This week's Archers Alley "Catch of the Week" comes to us from Dylan & Harry Jiles, of Sabina!

Dylan hooked into this estimated 46" 40-pound flathead on Clinton Lake recently while crappie fishing!!  After an hour and a half fight, they pulled it in!

From Harry:

"Crappie fishing was pretty slow but Dylan ended our day with this beast. Caught it on a 1/16 oz jig, 6 lb line on a 7' crappie pole. 1 hour & 20 minutes later, after chasing it across the lake for over 1/2 mile, we got it in the boat. 46" long and 40 lbs. Released to be caught again. A collective effort by

Jay Jewell & me to control the boat, great rod work from Dylan and a lot of luck."
