This week's Archers Alley "Catch of the Week" comes to us from Ethan Reel, of Morton!  

Ethan and a friend were out crappie fishing on Lake Bloomington recently when Ethan pulled in this SUPER SLAB of a black crappie!!

From Ethan: "I was crappie fishing with a friend on Lake Bloomington this past Sunday. We were just about to switch spots, when I caught this Black Crappie!  It was 16 1/4" long, and weighed almost 3 pounds (2.8 on a scale in tenths)! The other fish is 11" in comparison."

This week's Archers Alley "Catch of the Week" comes to us from Tristin Potts & Brooks Cluver - the Clinton High School Bass Fishing Team that won the IHSA Sectionals on Clinton Lake last week!  

Their winning bag of 13 pounds 15 ounces punched their ticket to the State Tournament on May 21 & 22 at Carlyle Lake!  Tristin also brought in the Big Bass of the Sectional at 4 pounds 2 ounces!

This week's Archers Alley "Catch of the Week" comes to us from Randall Laws, of Mattoon!

Randall was out crappie fishing on Lake Paradise on a cold March morning when he hooked into this monster flathead catfish!!

From Randall:  "Crappie fishing at Lake Paradise using minnows and caught a flathead just under 30lbs. I was using just 6lb test braid and took over 30 minutes to land . Flatheads in this lake are rare and hardly ever caught on rod and reels . So to catch this one and be able to release it was special to me."
