This week's Archers Alley "Catch of the Week" comes to us from 6-year old Henry Nichols, of Clinton, and his mom, Stacy!   Stacy was the winner of our Route 32 Jigs/Bonehead Tackle giveaway earlier this spring, and Henry has been putting them to use!

Stacy & Henry will join us this weekend to talk about some of their adventures and catches!

This week's Archers Alley "Catch of the Week" comes to us from BJ Matheny & his son, Hunter, of Clinton!

Sometimes it's not about the size of the catch, but the story behind that catch...this stringer of bluegill served a purpose...

From BJ: "About 2 years ago my elderly father was put under hospice care. One of his final requests was 'fried fish.' My son, Hunter, and I fished for 2 days at local lakes with no luck. We knew that our time was running short and that's when a friend of the family invited us to 'fill a stringer' out of their farm pond. In less than 3 hours, Hunter and I had filled that stringer full of bluegill. Our hearts were happy, our bellies were full and my father had his last wish granted!"

This week's Archers Alley "Catch of the Week" comes to us from Rob Gist, of Mt. Auburn!  

The flathead bite on Lake Sangchris is on!!  Rob set out last weekend to find a flathead...he found a "little" 25 pounder!  Then on his last cast, he hooked into a near PB 47 pounder!  Quite a trip!

From Rob: "I set off late friday night, but had a rough time catching blue gills for bait. I did end up with a few small ones, and got my lines out and around 1130 ish. I pulled in a 25lb flathead! I only had 1 live blue gill left so I tossed it on the hook and 30 minutes later bam my pole folded and got me a 47lb flattie!!!"

This week's Archers Alley "Catch of the Week" comes to us from Travis Sanders, of Taylorville!

Travis set out to recently for a couple of nights of catfishing at Sangchris Lake....he was successful!!

One night he pulled in a 38-pound flathead, and the next he pulled in a new PB - 39-pounds!  Travis will join us this weekend to tell the story of a great weekend of fishing!

This week's Archers Alley "Catch of the Week" comes to us from Eric Krople, of Dwight!

For the past few years, Eric has been targeting Carp in central & northern Illinois waters.  He recently landed his personal best Mirror Carp!

Eric has several other big carp that he's brought in this year.....

Tune into Central Illinois Outdoors this weekend as Eric joins us to tell the story of some of these amazing catches!  He'll also give us some tips and tricks when it comes to targeting carp!
