From Randy: "A friend & I were crappie fishing on Lake Shelbyville recently when I was surprised to hook into this 8-10 pound Buffalo!!  Caught on an ACC 10' crappie rod on 6lb test.  It was a fun fight!!"

Randy will join us this weekend to share the story of his first buffalo; talk fishing; and more!

This week's Archers Alley "Catch of the Week" comes to us from Lexi Ashbrook, a grad student at the University of Illinois in Champaign-Urbana!

From Lexi: "I was able to take my first Illinois turkey this year during 4th season!  We called him into about 15 yards, and made the shot!"

Lexi will join us this weekend to tell the story!  In addition, she's had first hand experience with the Illinois Learn To Hunt program, and we'll get her perspective on that free adult hunting training program!

This week's Archers Alley "Catch of the Week" comes to us from Andrew Williams, of Broadlands Heritage High School!

From Andrew: "I fished the Lake Shelbyville IHSA Sectional, and ended up catching a 6.43 pounder with 20 mins left to qualify for state!!"

Not only did this monster help Andrew qualify for state, but it's also his new PB!!  He'll join us to tell the story of the catch, and also talk tournament fishing, & more!!

From Jason: "Well it finally happened. After fishing this lake for many years and being very frustrated with it, it finally produced. Still can’t believe this came outta Lake Springfield. 7.53. What a fun night."

Jason's new Lake Springfield P-B came at the right time, as it led to a win in a recent Lake Springfield Bass Anglers Thursday nighter!  He'll join us to tell the story of the catch, and also talk tournament fishing, & more!!
