Area Winners Selected at Illinois Junior Angus Field Day

Illinois junior Angus members led 166 entries at the 2019 Illinois Junior Angus Association Field Day in Bloomington, Ill. Katy Satree, Montague, Texas, evaluated 100 owned females, 51 bred-and-owned females, six steers, four cow-calf pairs, and five bred-and-owned bulls before choosing champions

PVF Lucy 8225 claimed grand champion owned female honors. Katelyn Eathington, Avon, Ill., owns the July 2018 daughter of PVF Surveillance 4129. She first won intermediate champion.

 

Accent Advantage 1812 grand champion bred-and-owned bull. Jonathan Taylor, Oakland, Ill., owns the March 2018 son of RB Absolute Advantage. He first won junior champion.

 

Ben Sellmeyer, Maroa, Ill., led the reserve grand champion bred-and-owned bull after first winning junior calf champion. Es Black Pearl 9101 is a January 2019 son of PVF Insight 0129.

 

PVF Proven Queen 8127 was named grand champion bred-and-owned female after winning junior champion. Amelia Miller, Gridley, Ill., owns the March 2018 daughter of C&C Priority 1428B EXAR.

 

Dameron Primrose 857 won reserve grand champion bred-and-owned female. Max Dameron, Towanda, Ill., owns the March 2016 daughter of Kramers Insight 569. She first won reserve junior calf champion.

 

ES Rita 701 won reserve grand champion cow-calf pair. Ben Sellmeyer, Maroa, Ill., owns the January 2017 daughter of Silveiras Style 9303. A January 2019 bull calf sired by PVF Insight 0129 is at side.
