Daniel L. Powless, 64, of Clinton died 3:45 p.m. Thursday (March 14, 2013) in OSF St. Joseph Medical Center, Bloomington.

Mr. Powless was born Dec. 27, 1948, in Clinton, the son of Vernon L. “CY” and Dorothy Jean Adams Powless. He worked as a plumber for more than 37 years. His last marriage was to Elizabeth Marie Kelley on Feb. 5, 1999.
Surviving are his wife; daughters, Tammy Sue (Mike) Rogers of St. Louis, Mo.; Amy Jo Robinson of Clinton; stepdaughter, Jennifer Shaw (Jeffery) of Decatur; stepson, Benjamen Lee Nave; grandchildren, James Daniel Drone, Jonathan Rogers, Jennifer Rogers, Jessica Rogers, River Robinson, Cole Robinson; stepgrandchildren, Nickolas Shaw, Alexis Shaw and Destiny Mulvany; cousins, Karen Steele of Clinton; Berle Powless of McKinney, Texas; three great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
