Otis G. "Pete” Howe Jr., 81, of Mt. Pulaski, IL, passed away at 1:00 A.M. Thursday, December 21, 2017, at Vonderlieth Living Center.
Pete was born on August 3, 1936, in Lincoln to Otis G. and Minnie (Miller) Howe Sr. He married Phyllis Scheuler on September 22, 1956, in Mt. Pulaski. He later married Marjorie June Vignali on June 30, 1966, in Springfield. She preceded him in death. 
Surviving are his daughter, Cheryl (Doug) Davis of Elkhart, IL, three grandsons, Kyle Davis, Matthew Davis and Aaron Davis, one brother Donald Howe of Warrensburg, IL, two step-daughters, Deb Mifflin of Springfield, IL and Marge Banta of St. Louis, MO, and his best friend Dolly Buckles of Mt. Pulaski.
Pete was a retired heavy equipment mechanic. He was a lifetime member of Local #150 operating engineers, the Mt. Pulaski Masonic Lodge and the Mt. Pulaski Christian Church.
Services for Pete will be at 11:00 A.M. Thursday, December 28, 2017, at the Mt. Pulaski Christian Church with Casey McCormick officiating. Visitation will be from 9:00-11:00 A.M. prior to services. Burial will follow services at Lake Bank Cemetery, Mt. Pulaski. Memorials may be made to the Mt. Pulaski EMS or to the Mt. Pulaski Christian Church. Services are entrusted to Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Mt. Pulaski.
