Carolyn Jane Sennhenn

 On Sunday March 27, 2022 at 5:09 PM Carolyn Jane Sennhenn joyfully entered heaven at the age of 81.

 

Services will be 11:00 AM Thursday March 31, 2022 at Calvert Funeral Home, Maroa, IL with Pastor Pat Edrington officiating. Burial will follow at the Maroa Cemetery, Maroa, IL.. Visitation will be 5 – 7 PM Wednesday March 30, 2022 at the funeral home. Visitation will also be 10:30 until the time of the services on Thursday.

 

Memorials may be directed to Second Chance Pet Adoption.

 

Carolyn was born on Christmas Eve 1940 on the Lowery farm in Weldon, IL to Eugene and Evelyn (Baker) Lowery. She was a graduate of Deland-Weldon High School and Elkhart Indiana Dental School where she received her Dental Assistant degree. On June 5, 1965 she married Donald Sennhenn. They raised three children together.

 

Carolyn was an incredibly intelligent, talented, creative, and a witty person. After running Dr. Ritter and Dr. Pirolli’s dental offices in Decatur for over 25 years she poured her passion into her ceramic business and gift shop “Sweethearts” in Maroa. She taught many people to enjoy ceramic painting as well as giving lessons to students in various schools in the area.

 

She was known for her quick wit, infectious laugh, and storytelling. No one enjoyed her stories more than her.

 

Carolyn was preceded in death by her father, Eugene Lowery, mother, Evelyn (Baker) Lowery, Brother Dennis Lowery, Son Darren Dragoo, and daughter Alicia Sennhenn.

 

She is survived by her husband Donald Sennhenn, Maroa, IL; daughter Donnette Devore, Maroa, IL; son Larry Sennhenn, Maroa, IL; five grandchildren Cody Dalluge (Kelsey), Canton, GA, Cady Devore, Decatur, IL, Meghan (Doug) Koehler, Bolingbrook, IL, Devin Sennhenn, Elgin, IL, and Jordan Floyd, Maroa, IL; and five great-grandchildren, Connor, Cayleigh, Ryker, Karlee, and one expected in July.

John Pedigo

John C. Pedigo, 86, of Argenta died at 5:41 PM on Monday, March 7, 2022, at his residence.

 

No Services are planned at this time.  Calvert Funeral Home, Argenta assisted the family with cremation rites. 

 

Memorials may be directed to the Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation or Kemmerer Village in Assumption.

 

John was born July 6, 1935, in Decatur, IL the son of Collie and Leota M. (Downey) Pedigo.

 

Survivors include his daughter, Teresa A. Pedigo, Fairview Heights, IL. John was preceded in death by his parents, wife Theresa (Pat) Pedigo, and infant sister Nancy Pedigo.

 

John graduated from Decatur High School in 1953. A city boy with a passion for farming moved to the country to begin his lifelong dream in 1960 after completing two years of alternative service at the University of Maryland.  He retired from farming in 2004.

 

John married Theresa (Pat) Marcheschi on April 19, 1964 at the Church of the Brethren in Decatur, IL.  She passed away on May 7, 2019.

 

John served in various capacities on several agricultural boards.  He served as the Director of Friends Creek Township and Board Member for the Macon County Farm Bureau; the Macon County Soil & Water Conservation District, as well at the Agricultural Stabilization & Conservation Service (ASCS).  He was a Board Member for Corn Belt FS for many years and served as President for 14 years. John & Pat were active members of the Macon County Farm Bureau Prime Timers group enjoying many travels with good friends.

 

He was very involved in the Argenta community as a member of the AO Civic Club; a member and trustee of the Argenta Presbyterian Church; and the President/founding member of Prairie Park.  A true gentleman who valued integrity and honesty in every action.  A strong, quiet leader who always wore a smile to brighten up everyone’s day.

The family would like to thank the Pulmonologists, Cardiac Specialists, and Nurses at Memorial Health in Decatur for their care and support, along with everyone at Pulmonary Rehab.

Connie L. Rogers

 Connie L. Rogers 91 of Clinton, IL passed away 7:10 A.M. February 27, 2022 at St. Clara’s Lincoln, IL.

Connie was born December 1, 1930 in Clinton, IL the daughter of Rollie and Jewel (Hoge) Fortner. She married Raymond A. Rogers February 14, 1950 in Clinton, IL.

 

Survivors include her husband, Raymond A. Rogers, Lincoln, IL, children, Ricky Rogers, Taylorville, IL; Cathy Downs, Clinton, IL; and Cris Rogers, Clinton, IL, along several grandchildren and great grandchildren, and one sister, Judy Coffey, Clinton, IL.

 

She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister

 

Connie was a retiree of Revere Copper & Brass Inc.f

Mary R. Burton

 Mary R. Burton, 91 of Clinton, IL passed away 10:30 AM March 4, 2022 at Manor Court, Clinton, IL.

 

Graveside services will be 10 AM, Wednesday, March 9, 2022 at Carlyle Cemetery, Lake Fork, IL with Mike Cahill officiating. The family entrusted Calvert Funeral Home, Clinton, IL with arrangements.

Mary was born January 31, 1931 in Weldon, IL the daughter of Ted and Eleanor (Foster) Roseman. She married Aubrey R. Burton February 8, 1985 in Decatur, IL. He passed away May 19, 1987.

 

Survivors include her brothers, Jerry (Betty) Roseman, Decatur, IL and Ted (Nancy) Roseman, Clinton, IL.

 

She was preceded in death by her parents, siblings, Betty Kyle, Norma Rich, Shirley Roseman, and Sally Wellman.

 

Mary was a member of the Clinton First Christian Church, Clinton, IL. She enjoyed crafting and spending time with friends and family.

Thomas C. Trigg

 Thomas C. Trigg, 75, of Monticello, IL passed away at 4:06 PM, March 4, 2022 at Carle Foundation Hospital, Urbana, IL.

 

Services will be 11 AM, Friday, March 11, 2022 at the First Baptist Church, Monticello, IL with Pastor Mitch Estep and Pastor John Roberson officiating.  Burial will follow at DeLand Cemetery, DeLand, IL with Military Honors.  Visitation will be 5 – 7 PM, Thursday, March 10, 2022 at the church.  Calvert Funeral Home, DeLand, IL is in charge of arrangements.

 

Memorials may be directed to the Handicap Van Fund at First Baptist Church, Monticello, IL.

 

Tom was born September 29, 1946 in Bloomington, IL the son of James C. and Elsie Mae (Crosby) Trigg.  He married Janet Rolofson on June 22, 1968 in Clinton, IL.

 

Survivors include his wife, Janet Trigg, Monticello, IL; daughter, Mindy (Jeff) Duez, Peoria, IL; and two grandchildren, Grace Duez, Peoria, IL and Tommy Duez, Peoria, IL.

 

He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Betty.

 

Tom was a member of First Baptist Church, Monticello and was Coordinator of Ministry from the church at the Piatt County Nursing Home.  Tom was a Vietnam Veteran.  He worked  for the State of Illinois in the Department of Child and Family Services and the Department of Veterans’ Affairs and was a teacher and coach for the Monticello School District.  Tom was also a volunteer at the Decatur VA Clinic.  He was a fan of the Illini, Boston Celtics, Indianapolis Colts, and the L.A. Dodgers. Tom enjoyed golfing, but most of all he loved spending time with his family.

Lois Woolum

Lois E. Woolum, 70 of Clinton, IL passed away 2:36 AM March 2, 2022 at Decatur Memorial Hospital, Decatur, IL.

 

Private family services will be held at a later date. The family entrusted Calvert Funeral Home, Clinton, IL with arrangements.

Lois was born July 16, 1951 in Clinton, IL the daughter of Claude and Lela Lois (Lane) Alwood. She married John D. “J.D.” Woolum June 14, 1980 in Clinton, IL. He passed away May 15, 2007.

 

Survivors include her daughter, Tina Woolum, Clinton, IL and son, Brian Woolum, Clinton, IL; 4 grandchildren, Sean Tombaugh, Deztiny Woolum, Breanna Woolum, and Trintin Mosby.

 

She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, John Jason Woolum; one grandson, Conner Epting; and one brother, Kevin Alwood.

 

Lois enjoyed bowling, sewing, horses, and listening to Elvis. She had worked at Eureka for 28 years and later at Walmart.

Betty Marcum

Betty F. Marcum, 90, of Weldon, IL passed away at 7:15 PM, March 3, 2022 at Farmer City Rehab and Health Care, Farmer City, IL.

 

Services will be 3 PM, Wednesday, March 9, 2022 at Calvert Funeral Home, Clinton, IL with Rev. Julia Abel officiating.  Burial will follow at Weldon Cemetery, Weldon, IL.  Visitation will be 2 – 3 PM, Wednesday at the funeral home.

 

Memorials may be directed to the Alzheimer’s Association.

 

Betty was born May 22, 1931 in Calais, ME the daughter of Burleigh and Edna (Flood) Perkins.  She attended Woodland schools, graduating from Woodland High School.  After School, Betty moved to Bangor, ME, where she eventually met her husband, Curtis who was stationed at Dow Air Force Base during the Korean Conflict.  Betty and Curtis married at the Dow base chapel on August 2, 1953.  He passed away September 24, 2018. After moving around various parts of the U.S., Betty and Curtis settled in Weldon, IL where they raised three boys, Timothy, Jeffrey and Michael.  Betty later worked at the Deland State Bank for a number of years.  Earlier in her life, Betty loved to go to dances, sometimes hitchhiking with friends to get to the next dance..  As Curtis was never one to dance, Betty channeled her passion into reading.  She was never without a book.  While Weldon was her home for the majority of her life, she always thought of home back in Maine and as her memory faded with the advancing dementia, those memories were the last to leave.

 

Survivors include her children:  Tim Marcum, Farmer City, IL and Mike Marcum, Aurora, IL;

grandsons Kyle (Lauren), Michael Schulte Jr., Conor and Sean, Great Grandchildren, Eleanor and Charlotte; and various nieces and nephews in Maine.

 

She was preceded in death by her mother and father; husband, Curtis; sisters:  Winifred (O’Neal), Madeline, and Audrey (Moreside); and son, Jeffrey.

 

The family wishes to thank the staff of Farmer City Rehab for their great care of Betty of the last years of her life.

Andrew E. Brown

 Andrew E. Brown, 41, of Waynesville, IL, passed away at 10:39 A.M. February 28, 2022 at Paris Community Hospital, Paris, IL.

Andrew was born November 16, 1980 in Lincoln, IL the son of Kenneth and Janet (Stedwell) Brown. He married Jenna Follis October 25, 2014 in McLean, IL.

 

Survivors include his wife, Jenna Brown, Waynesville, IL; children, Kenneth and Lydia Brown; siblings, Carol (Larry Roof) Shroyer, Lincoln, IL, James (Amy) McNail, Peoria, IL; Shawn McNail, Atlanta, IL; nephew, Thomas McNail, Peoria, IL; nieces, Shannon Shroyer, Lincoln, IL, Latisha Culler, Lincoln, IL; aunt, Kathy (Joe) Miller, Elmhurst, IL; uncles, Charlie Stedwell, Champaign, IL, George Stedwell, Indianapolis, IN.

 

He was preceded in death by his parents, paternal and maternal grandparents.

 

Andrew graduated from Olympia High School in 1999. He had worked for Nutrien Ag Solutions in Atlanta for over 15 years. He loved to tinker with anything that had an engine and could rebuild anything.

 

With a contagious laugh and a smile that would light up a room, Andrew never knew a stranger. He loved a good joke and was an old soul, enjoying Johnny Cash, Elvis Presley and Jerry Lee Lewis. He was very proud of his children, nick naming Kenny “Scooter” and Lydia “His sweet little sugar”, and the love of his life was his wife, Jenna.
