The Monticello Sages will look to avenge a 55-41 loss from December tonight when they meet up with Riverton at the Riverton Regional in semifinal action of the 2A boys basketball postseason.
The Hawks were too much for the Sages early in the season, but the Sages have improved and are playing perhaps their best basketball of the season. Monticello will put their seven-game winning streak on the line tonight.
Monticello beat Clinton 50-22 Monday night to advance to a regional semifinal game.
Riverton has had a phenomenal season at 25-5 overall and is winners of four straight coming into action tonight.
Riverton just missed out on the top 10 of the Class 2A poll this week.
