Mallory Cyrulik scored a game-high 28 points and the Clinton Lady Maroons used a big defensive second half to roll past Shelbyville 65-37 in Central Illinois Conference girls basketball action Monday night from Shelbyville.
The Lady Maroons held the Lady Rams to just 15 second-half points, outscoring Shelbyville 34-15.
The Lady Maroons led 31-22 at the intermission and locked down defensively in the second half.
Kaitlyn Rauch scored 11 for Clinton.
The Lady Maroons improve to 7-2 overall and are 2-2 in the CIC. Shelbyville drops to 0-4 in the conference at 3-4 overall.
The Lady Maroons will travel to Central A&M Thursday night for another tilt in the Central Illinois Conference.
