Monticello's Ben Cresap Makes Basketball First-Team All Illini Prairie

Monticello junior guard Ben Cresap was named to the Illini Prairie Conference's first-team all-conference team announced Friday morning.

 

Cresap helped the Sages to a 7-3 record and 5-3 mark in the conference averaging 15 points per game, 2.5 assists and 3.7 rebounds. 

 

Bloomington Central Catholic senior guard JT Welch, IVC senior guard Holt Geltmaker and Prairie Central senior guard Trey Bazzell were unanimous all-conference selections. St. Joseph-Ogden sophomore forward Ty Pence and IVC senior guard Mac Parmelee were also first team selections.

 

Monticello junior guard Dylan Ginalick highlighted the second-team along with BCC's Sam Tallen and Jadyn Ellison, IVC senior Kam Wollard, Champaign St. Thomas More junior Patrick Quarnstrom, Tolono Unity junior Blake Kimball, Prairie Central senior Rylie Vaughan and St. Joseph-Ogden junior Evan Ingram.

 

Monticello senior guard Jake Edmondson was joined on the third team all-conference list by Rantoul's Avontay Anderson, Pontiac sophomore Logan Barnett, Olympia senior Hunter Berges, St. Joe-Ogden junior Andrew Beyers, BCCs Drew Hinderer, STMs Averi Hughes and Dawson Magrini and Prairie Central senior Cooper Palmore.
