Maroa-Forsyth Rolls Clinton in Girl's Softball Saturday

The Maroa-Forsyth Lady Trojans jumped out to a quick lead on the Clinton Lady Maroons and rolled to a 10-1 non-conference girl's softball action Saturday in Forsyth.

 

Payton Roberts drove in three runs from the eighth spot in the lineup with a home run. Ella Mann added a two-run home run. Kate Aupperle drove in a pair of runs as well for the Lady Trojans.

 

Marina Rohman pitched seven innings of one-run ball, allowing four hits, a walk, and struck out six.

 

Savannah Clifton finished 1-for-3 with an RBI for the Lady Maroons only run. Chloe Griffin, Heidi Humble and Kianna Easton all recorded hits for Clinton.

 

The Lady Trojans improve to 4-3 overall. The Lady Trojans embark on a busy week. After a Monday game at Argenta-Oreana, they travel to Riverton Tuesday, host Charleston Wednesday, travel to PORTA Thursday then travel to North Mac Friday and host Tremont Saturday. 

 

The Lady Maroons drop to 1-4 overall and host Sullivan today.
