Monticello Football Focused on Consistency in Practice

Coming off a convincing 45-0 win over Pontiac at Homecoming on Friday night, Monticello football coach Cully Welter was pleased with his team's performance.

Other than a slow start offensively after a good week of practice, Coach Welter says his team tackled better, started strong in the second half and played much better defense than the week before at Bloomington Central Catholic.

The last third of the Monticello schedule will feature teams ranked in the top 10 in the week five polls. For Coach Welter, he wants his team to start stacking good practices.

The Sages travel to take on a winless Rantoul team on Friday night at 7 pm. Hear all the action on 95.9 FM WEZC and online at dewittdailynews.com.
