Arlene Hosea Joins Special Olympics Board of Directors

Arlene Hosea of Normal has joined the Special Olympics Illinois Board of Directors and will serve on the Marketing & Development committee.

Hosea has worked since 2009 as the assistant to the vice president of Student Affairs and since 2004 as the director of Campus Dining Services for Illinois State University.. She was also an associate director of Campus Dining Services for four years, after holding several management positions with them. She was an instructor of two family and consumer sciences courses for a year at Illinois State.

Hosea is involved in the community as a member of the McLean County YWCA board of directors, the Baby Fold board of directors, the Student Affairs Diversity Task Force, the Dietetic Internship Advisory Board, and the University President’s Diversity Task Force. She has also received many awards and recognitions, including being the subject of the article “What Does Having a Dietitian on Staff Add to Your Operation?” in the February 2011 edition of On Campus Hospitality Magazine.

Hosea received her Master of Science in Home Economics from Illinois State University in 1984.
