Taylor Pyatt and Antoine Vermette both split the pipes in the second for Phoenix, which takes a 1-0 lead in the best-of-seven series heading into Saturday's Game Two at Jobing.com Arena. Mike Smith denied 43 of the 45 shots he faced in the win. Jonathan Toews [[ TAYVS ]] found the back of the net in the opening marker and assisted on Brent Seabrook's tally with 14.2 seconds left in the third period to force extra playing time for Chicago. Corey Crawford allowed all three scores on 34 shots for the Blackhawks in a losing effort.
