DeLand Weldon Schools are hoping a program they will be implementing will highlight many of the exception graduates of the district.

"Eagle Soar" is a campaign designed to recognize graduates of the district who have gone on to great things after their days as a DeLand Weldon Eagle. Dr. Gary Brashear, Superintendent of DeLand Weldon Schools, is excited to introduce the program and wants to emphasize the good things of the small district.

The District will be creating a space to allow for the nominees to be recognized on. Dr. Brashear says there are plenty of examples of graduates that have gone on to exceptional things from DeLand Weldon. This past weekend, DeLand Weldon alum, Larry Huisinga was inducted into the Illinois Basketball Hall of Fame.

DeLand Weldon graduates soon will be able to follow the happenings of the campaign "Eagle Soar", or even make nominations thanks to a Facebook page the district will have.
